From Caterpillar to Butterfly...

31/5/2019

We have been waiting patiently over the past few weeks as we watched our tiny caterpillars grow and eventually wrap themselves in a cocoon. We were very surprised to come to school on a Monday morning to see that wonderful butterflies had emerged. We were sad to see them go but we knew it was important to set them free! We had a wonderful few weeks experiencing the life cycle of the butterfly!

String Skills

19/5/2019

Some of the children started to show us fantastic patterns they can make with a simple piece of string/wool so we decided to get everybody involved. Ms. Hyde was very kind to send us some of her students to help out and show us the different skills they have learned. A lot of concentration was needed!!

February has been such a quick month but we managed to fit in some lovely activities in Aistear. Our theme for the month was the restaurant so we all became chefs, waiters and customers in our mini restaurant! We used playdough to create food and made restaurants out of blocks in the small world area. We also managed to fit in some love art just in time for Valentine's Day!
We have also been working very hard to get some points on Class Dojo and as a reward for reaching 250 points as a whole class we went to the hall to play some games with the parachute!! It was fantastic!!

Elvis the Elf!!

19/12/2018

We received some exciting post at the beginning of December...our very own elf!! Santa sent him from the North Pole to make sure we are behaving and he also installed a camera in our classroom so that he can check in on us whenever he wants! We named our elf Elvis and he is getting up to all kinds of mischief at night time when we are not there. One morning we found him inside Ms. Dunne's sweet jar!!
