Whitegate National School has achieved a Science Foundation Ireland Discover Science and Maths Plaque of STEM Excellence for the 2017/18 academic year. Well done to all the children and pupils involved in science, maths and engineering throughout the year. Take a look at our PowerPoint to see what we did during the year. Click here for our PowerPoint.   Rang 4, 5 & 6 learned all about the Solar System and planets this week for Space week. We drew the planets in art which look fantastic. We designed paper rockets too and measured the distance they traveled in the halla. This sentence helps us remember the order of the planets:
